Glastonbury Water Damage Cleanup Services
Water damage is one of the most common problems experienced in the home. Water may enter the home through a leaky roof, from an appliance failure such as a washing machine, ice maker, water heater, or dishwasher, a sink or toilet overflow, a broken, leaky, or frozen pipe, or it can be a result of major fire extinguishing efforts. We will take care of your home or basement water damage and get it back to pre-flooded condition. At Paul Davis Restoration, we know that addressing water problems immediately can mean the difference between hundreds versus thousands of dollars in damages, and we have the experience, the expertise, and the technology to take care of the water damage cleanup and return your home to its prior condition quickly and effectively.

What to do if you find flooding
or sewage damage
What to do if you find flooding
or sewage damage
There are some steps you can take before we arrive. However, always adhere to the recommendations of your fire department or other responding agencies as your health and safety are more important than your possessions. Please do not take any unnecessary risks, but time is critical in minimizing additional damages with emergency water damage.
- Contact a qualified insurance restoration contractor. Keep in mind that many companies say that they are qualified in flood water removal yet do not possess the appropriate training or equipment.
- Report the damage to your insurance company as soon as possible. Most companies have a toll-free call center number or you can report the loss to your agent.
- If safe to do so, locate the source of the water and turn off any supply valves to stop the flow of water. If you must turn off your water, take steps to prevent your plumbing and/or heating supply pipes from freezing.
- Remember, water is an excellent conductor of electricity, and the risk of shock is imminent. Do not allow wet materials or surfaces to come in contact with any electrical source. Always shut off the power if there is any risk.
- Keep a listing of anything you have discarded and receipts for any expenses you incur in protecting your property.
- If you must relocate, even temporarily, give your insurance company a phone number where you can be reached.

Paul Davis supports Movember campaign for men’s health awareness
Glastonbury, CT – November 11, 2019 – Paul Davis Restoration of Central CT, a leading provider of fire, water and mold damage emergency and restoration services for residential and commercial properties, recognizes Movember, a movement for men's health awareness. The office team is encouraging mustache growth during November or wearing and taking photos of faux mo’s or a fake 'stache to display and raise physical and mental health concerns among men. The restoration firm will participate in the theme with social media, educational and fundraising events, and activities to include direct donations to the worldwide nonprofit organization at www.movember.com.
According to Rick Suydam, Paul Davis office owner, the franchise is challenging men across the U.S. and Canada to grow a moustache and be mindful while raising funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. To date, through the moustaches grown, connections created, and conversations generated, the Movember movement has more than five million supporters and has helped to fund 1,200 innovative men's health projects across twenty countries.
In the U.S. and Canada, Movember statistics show that more than 11 men die each day from prostate cancer, and 21,300 men will be diagnosed with the disease this year. Also, 60 men die by suicide every hour, globally. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men and although in most cases the outcome for men with testicular cancer is positive, with a 95 percent chance of survival.
"When it comes to health, too many men don't feel like they have the support to talk, don't act, and die too young", said Suydam "We encourage our staff members and their families to be aware of and talk about health risks and take action. We hope the conversations generated from coast to coast this Movember will give men the courage to take care of themselves and each other."
